MOVE began as Church Resource Ministries (CRM) Australia an initiative of CRM US.
In October 1988 Terry and Robin Walling stepped off the plane at Melbourne airport to begin the story of CRM Australia.
Eight years earlier, a small group of men and women highly committed to world evangelization founded CRM US. They were convinced of the central role of local churches in God’s plan to reach the world for Christ. CRM Australia was committed to strengthening and planting churches, and growing leaders.
Within just five years, the Wallings and their team had established a truly Australian ministry. Steve Addison, who had joined the team through Terry’s influence, took over as CRM’s Australian Director in 1993.
CRM Australia established ministries in the UK, East Asia and South Asia and joined the CoNext partnership.
In 2008 CRM Australia began a shift towards a sole focus on sparking church planting movements. The shift led to the understanding that a new name was needed. A name that captured the dynamic move God was doing around the world in regard to church multiplication movements.
In 2012 MOVE became the new face of CRM Australia, still having the original heart, now with a clear focus on church planting movements.
